Is it true that your last name has become somewhat of a cuss word during the production of Dirty Jobs and is anyone else outside of DJ (that you are aware off of course) using it as a cuss word and do you mind?

Yep I use it all the time, great for when you can't cuss around small children or older people. It's safe.

Besides I heard that for evey 100 people that use it 100 times or more Davey grows and extra 1/36th of an inch.

That could explain why he's 1/8th inch taller than he was 2 years ago!

I've only used it 193.7729 times so I've only contributed .100 times so far. Who came up with that statistic anyway? And does he want to be taller, or just have slimmer calves?

Yes, in fact it has. I met a family last year up in Washington state while filming the hops segment that told me that their children's "mad word" or something like that was "Barsky!" In other words their 5 year old would always shout my name when they got angry in lieu of a curse.

That is a great question and an even better answer. I need to get my kids to say that!

I used Barsky's name in vain-ish just today. My twin always calls me a "Sally" not because it's my name but because I'm a whimp. So my come back to her was to call her a "Barsky"! It just came out, not sure why. Sorry if that offends.

I can see how you feel about that Dave. What about Barsky Halloween costumes? Being Mike is so last year...and the year before.

How 'bout going as a sh1t list with post-it notes aaalllll over, many saying, "Barsky".

Did you hear about the 3rd grader in East Jabipp, NJ? He had to write, "I will not use the word Barsy when referring to the amount of homework in the upper left hand corner of this board." once for each job you guys have done.

There was some confusion, so the teacher let him leave after writing it only 213 times.
