Hey there crew. While it seems that the existant of the MB might be a bit of a mystery to some, I'd like to add a little while I can...please bear with me, my thoughts are quite random...
Dan - As camera assisant, what does your position entail? In the past it seemed that Doug would never be able to acquire such talent. If only the show could deflect its attention northwards...way, way up to Canada. Is this something that you have wanted to do for some time now? When Mike mentioned some time ago that a "decent camera assistant" could go for something like $200 per day, so $125 with accomodations...I won't lie, I really considered applying. Were you in the business before or did this raise your curiosity? I admire the job that you do. At times members of the crew make it seem like such a chore...the variety within your position is so intriguing.
Dave - Your relationship with Mike and the show is something to be admired. Mike has mentioned on more than one occasion that your dedication to the show and the attention to detail is fantastic. Please continue the Barsky Saga! I know that there's more to you than knit toques, geographical maps, and pies....
Doug - How do you manage all that you do? In all honesty...While my job is far from that of the DP, in many ways I can understand and sympathize (empathsize...the difference?) with what you do (in a general sense)...For some time now I've worked "behind the scenes"...so to speak. There is really no way to compare the positions. There are a lot of people that think that you belong in front of the camera...is this something that you've considered? You've been with the show for a number of years now and have been on screen many times. While I'm sure you probably never planned on being on camera, how does it feel? While I know that it was never my purpose to be in the spotlight, it sure feels gratifying to gain the recognition for a 'job well done'. Your work is fantastic. I know that you must hear that all the time. Though it feels like it needs repeating. Like Dave, you've been with Dirty Jobs since it's early stages...what is your favourite part of the job? The traveling? The people? The consisant change?
Ira - You must value yourself at more than "a dime a dozen"...what's your favourite part of your job? The feedback from the ladies from the Hot Springs has been fanstastic.
Please continue to share your stories and experiences! Mike, Dave, and Doug (with limited experience

) have done so on these MBs. Not only does your input enhance the entire DJ experience, it truely inspires many of us in our future endeavours. While I'd never really considered a future/career in media, the show has certainly shown me that television can be enriching in more ways than I've ever thought possible.
Thanks to all of the crew. Keep up the fantastic work. If you're ever north of the American/US border, don't hesitate to contact a few of the CND members!
Mel
P.S. Again, please disregard the spelling errors/poor grammar...I've come from a sh@g (Wiki that one

) and my vocab is less than 100 percent.
