Several points left out of the DSC Global warming Movie and Al Gore's Movie and personal comments.

1. As I understand it, the largest methane producers on Earth are cattle and there are millions of them in the hell of feedlots.

2. As a shortage of water was brought up, consider that it takes several thousand gallons of water to get one pound of beef on a plate, including the water to raise the grain and the large amount of water used in a slaughter house (John Robbins).

3. Farmers are growing crops on land that will not sustain agriculture without full irrigation. Already many farmers wells are running dry. Someday soon city water supplies may be in question.

4. I have been told by some religios right friends that global warming in God's way of speeding up the the "end of man's time" and the beginning of "God's time". I was also told that anyone who supported the global warming "myth" would join those going to HELL when the world ends.

Finally, the Discovery Channel provided a great service by airing this documentary. I wish some of the main channels would pick it up (eg ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX (ha). If you have not seen the Al Gore documentary, "Inconvenient Truth", go. Even Robert Evert says everyone should see it.

Clearly the only solution is for vegetarians to give up their selfish way of life and help us eat these cattle even faster!

Water shortages should be cleared up here shortly due to all the fresh water we can bring in from melting glaciers.

Does this sound stupid to you? Now you know how many of these far leftists sound to the more moderate community.

You are doing more to harm the efforts on Global Warming than to help it. Ridiculous claims only increase the scrutiny and unwillingness to devote resources into real research regarding this phenomenon.

There was only one valid scientific fact presented in the entire show, and it had to do with the quantity of ice in the polar regions.

The rest was all full of maybes and unsupported claims.

I'll just say... AMEN! But they covered a lot, and they did it well. No one program is going to contain all the information.

There is absolutely no proof for Global warming. I have study the facts and though I will keep my ears open, it seems to me that the only change in the weather has been a regular period of the sun. Every period varys slighty, but since we have only been able to measure back a few hundred years, there is no pattern to know how it is "supposed to" behave.

of course nothing has been proven
this is because there are these thing called debates
most likely, we will be in the middle of global warming when we are 100% positive it is real

this is all just a guess though

I left a similar post on one of the other links but it is worth noting here to. An increase in the atmosphere's CO2 content has lead to an increase in CO2 fertilization in plants. This in turn has caused in increase in the number of large trees. In time this would mean a dcrease in the number of grass and therefore a decrease in grazing for livestock. Cattle problem solved.

You make absolutely NO sense here!! You've really twisted this around, and did some major BS'ing here!

Lemme start: CO2 in the atmosphere is caused by the petroleum-based fertilizers put into fields. Crops are not fertilized by CO2 except from the air, which help convert the CO2 into oxygen. CO2 is also cuased by the fuel used by farm machinery harvesting tilling, seeding and spraying crops.

I have no idea where u get the increase in large trees from. Grass helps harness CO2 in the atmosphere as well as trees, and cattle help complete the carbon-sequestration cycle, even though they do give off methane.

But quite honestly I'd like you to explain this further, because I think my BS meter just exploded upon reading your response.

Atmospheric CO2 is generated by the exhalation of every living mammal - do your part to stop global warming - stop breathing!

Very good points indeed. The thing that bothers me, is that and it's the truth, and you can study it scientifically, is that humans are redistributing enormous amounts of weights around. Causing the dust to fly off, and this dust can be from the quarry pit, or it can even be organic material like leafs, etc. Water is attracted to these, like iron is attracted to magnet. And we are doing this kind of thing all over the globe, developing, at the same time basically. Construction season, including the arctic.
