I am not much of a scientist, but I do try to use commonsense and logic. Let me say first, that I live in South Florida. Several decades ago the Army Corp of Engineers modified the water way leading to Lake Okeechobee and controlling the level of the lake. It was thought out by scientists and engineers and concluded that this was a way that man could control Nature. Well here we are 2008 and the Corp realized a few years ago that it was wrong. They started to back fill the channel so that the water can meander and clean itself. Two years ago the agency controlling the level at the lake reduced the level intentionally to make room for the summer rain. It never came and we have had a drought ever since which restricted our water use. Lets start here. What I just laid out is a microcosm of the vast global diversity of nature that includes climate. Exactly who do you want in charge of the global thermostat, if you think there is one. I know that I don’t want any of the “zealous environmentalist” in charge, if they could.

According to scientist, the earth has been around for more than five billion years. They also agree that the climate has undergone many changes during this period. Now lets look at the most recent major climate change the “ Little Ice Age” from 1650 to 1850 AD separated by slight warming intervals. Was carbon dioxide (CO2) the culprit on this recent climate change. Remember this was the pre-industrial revolution period. So how do you explain such a drastic swing in climate temperatures. The Industrial period is currently blamed for man made global warming. From the beginning of time, I believe global cooling and global warming has been a natural occurrence. I became skeptical when I heard Al Gore, the spokesperson for man-made global warming, offer carbon offset credits for money!
