At last! Able to log in again after a long, long wait. I am so proud of Maybelline and Rocket Dog. These girls are definitely their mother's daughters! Go Rocket Dog! Go Maybelline!
I just bought the Season 1 DVD and it was so sad to see some of the lost kats...Shakespeare, and especially Mozart. And poor little Tosca. Carlos, so young, Tosca was so much bigger than him when they had their time together.
Like I mentioned in one of my previous posts, it was obvious that Maybelline was not afraid of Rocket Dog and she was likely to cause trouble for the family. Rocket Dog should have evicted at least one of her pregnant sisters and not allow the group to grow so big but she never did it, that might be a sign of weakness on her part.
I had not idea that the group was going to split but it turned out to be a good thing since the group was close to fifty members and the split was about 50% (I understand this is not true anymore and Maybelline's group is now smaller).
I doubted Maybelline's leadership skills at first because the way she was being overprotective with the pups, she did a great job leading the group into battle against the Zappa; some say it was a fluke or just beginners' luck, we'll just have to wait until next season.
I have no idea how to find out when season four starts! Anybody know?
I got into Meerkat Manor while channel surfing a few months ago and was instantly addicted. I cried when Flower died and now that the whiskers have split...oh such a cliff hanger! I don't want to miss the beginning of the next season. When does it start?
I really liked this episode no one died. I was kind of glad that Maybelline(Monkulus) started her own group. The Whiskers were becoming too big anyway. I hope her and Rocketdog do very well with their groups.
This season was the most dramatic season ever, and now it ended in suspence. I'm wondering if the gang will re-group soon. I really hope they do. I mean, Flower's memory should be seen in the biggest family on the manor. Not in a split family. But if the family re-groups, I hope Rocket Dog is dominate. She has worked so hard and done well as dominate. But if Maybelline turns out dominate I think she'll make a good leader, too.
I think that the group is too big to stay together. It was really difficult finding food when they were all together. And I think that there would be alot of evictions if the group stayed 40plus. Safety in numbers. If a sub female gets evicted then they are alone. Hate to see it and... look what happened to Mozart. She did not survive alone.
Well christopher9691, you are right. But I found out today that the group doesn't regroup. Rocket Dog stays dominant, but the group shrinks. Most of the group turns to roving and some move to a new group.

it takes 25 weeks to film a 13 part series for meerkat manor and they started filming in October so they will be done in March of 2008 and it will probably air in the summer of 2008
I was finally able to watch this episode after months of always missing it.
Wow! I had heard about Maybelline splitting off and creating her own group, but nevertheless I was still shocked by it! I wonder who had joined her, because they never mentioned names. When they fought against the Zappa, I was so nervous. Both sides had pups (the Zappa's only a few days old), and I was almost positive the Zappa was going to win. What a surprise I got when they fled! And definate kudos to Lola, for thinking for the pups! Way to go!
So Maybelline's group is the Aztecs. I've heard about the Aztecs, but never could figure out who they were. Now I know!
Great ending! Did anyone else notice that Astin never mentioned anything about "Next season on: Meerkat Manor"? That scared me, even though I know they're filming season 4 and it's coming this summer. I would still like to know what exactly is going on next season Astin!
I didn't hear the part where he said "maybe it's Maybelline". When was that? I think I missed it and/or didn't think of it...

I agree with you 100%! Also I wanted to say that you should come and be the dominant male for my new group Sunshine because after all you did say that you were thinking about leaving the your group with some other members!
