I too prefer the narration of Sean Astin. Why the change?

This episode was incredible, after following the LH reports to actaully watch it play out was history in the making.

Still my heart is heavy for sweet Sophie and I'm hoping that her future is brighter than her momma Mozart's was.
Sweet, adorable little Axel keeping Sophie company pulled at the heartstrings.

Can't wait to start seeing the pups. I want pups, I want pups, bring on the pups.

Meerkata, you bring up a great point about watching the episodes after reading the LH reports. I used to do the exact same thing. It is like reading a book, and then see it come to life in a movie.

I really wish KMP hadnt restricted the reports. I know the producers are afraid the reports will negatively impact MM viewership, but I really have to disagree with them.

Barkley, my understanding is the producers wanted a new narrator to help make a break from the "old" to "new" generations. Everything I have seen says Sean Astin wanted to continue.

Better late then never. I loved this episode! It seems that Zoro never had any intentions of drawing out the ladies. He had this take over in mind from the get go! This was truly something to see! Nikita had no choice but to submit! I hope that the commandos prosper and that Nikita has many pups! She sure has a strong DM now!

It was so good to see baby Axel, who is turning into a fine young man, come to Sophies rescue and help groom her too!

This season has been fantastic and I cant wait for tonights show!

that ep was awsome but the ep after that what happened to zorro in ep #7 confused

i was just wondering, is the American and Australian animal planet the same? at the moment in Aus AP is showing meerkat manor season 3

I really don't no. Maybe he's 2 busy to narrarate fur Meerkat Manor. I still think the season 4 narrarator is a lil dry and dull tho.

The referral of his transmitter being found in a tree suggests that he was caught and eaten by a bird of prey

Zorro became my 2 fav. male meerkat in season 4.When he died Cryed and felt soooo bad.

Does anyone know who won the role of DM when he was gone

It was Miles,Baker,or Cody.Zorro was the first to mate whith Zorilla.

Baker initiallly won the fight we saw at the end of season 4. But only a few months later he became sick with TB and was deposed by Miles. Baker died, and Miles settled in as the new DM.

Zorilla (aka Nikita) lost her February 2008 litter; it was probably killed by her pregnant daughter Beatrice who gave birth a few days later. Those were the only known offspring of Zarathustra/Zorro, but he was a frequent rover in the years before. He may have fathered some other litters, perhaps even Young Lazuli, the new dominant female of that group...
