When watching nature shows, sex and violence are part of the natural world and i have no problem with my child seeing meerkats do what is natural to them, yes its sad when they die and some people can feel uncomfortable watching them mate, but having "Nikita starts the day with a bang" in the story is a bit low brow.

After all the deaths of S3, I'm finding this season refreshing so far. It's more like the light-hearted MM of S1 & S2. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Seacrest's adventures.

I think this is my favorite episode ever. I loved it. I have two new favorite meerkats. I think the sex was treated tasfully.
I don't understand the problem with meerkat conduct. If you raise your children on a farm, would you try to hide the conduct of the farm animals? People don't want their children to know that people die or that they have sex and babies come out of their mothers. Children are not stupid!!! All you do is make them feel guilty about sex, and be afraid of death. If a child asks a question, you should answer it honestly but don't give them more information then they need to know, according to their age. They are not dumb and they know when you hide things and they know when you lie to them. If watching animals mate makes you uncomforable then you might need to work on your attitudes.

Good point, beadart.

Animal Planet has always shown animals mating. For the whole time it's been around, it has shown animals' mating habits.

I don't mind occasional mention of mating, but still, I don't think they had to base a whole episode around it. Just my opinion.

I have been travelling all week so late to comment.

I liked seeing the story of Seacrest, so we are getting exposed to another character. I am hoping we see more of him and his storyline isnt dropped. I am hoping they dont drop the storyline of the roving Whiskers (who left Zaphod with the Aztecs).

I am a little frustrated that the bottom line of episode is yet again "love in the desert". I know the DF need to have pups, but arent there other things going on in the Manor?

I hate to bring it up, but Stockard Channing is getting worse. She really hammed up the description of Nakita. I think the photography and script are improving as the season goes on, but she is just getting worse. It just seems like she thinks she is the star of the show and has to outshine the meerkats. Bring back Sean.
