Hi there! I have been on regular on the sexual health board for a very long time and just yesterday found out that this one existed. It doesn't seem to be a very active board but I thought that someone who was interested in lipo would always like to read anothers REAL experience (not the docs advertisement).
I had thought of having lipo for years. I work out 4 days a week, pilates, treadmill, eliptical, weights. My weight hasn't really changed since I was 12 (125 at 5'1") and even when it briefly did (early 20's, partying), I still had saddlebags.
So....I found some money that I wasn't really paying attention to (stocks from a job that I had when I was 19,20). It covered the majority so my hubby finally said "why don't you go ahead and make the consult). I had an appointment about 2.4 seconds later with the same man that had done my breasts 13 years earlier.
I am in the bay area (Ca) and I got my inner thighs, outer thighs and hips (the part that hangs over your jeans) done on 12/10/04. It cost me $7000.00 total with surgery center and anestesia (general). I was in pain (maneagable) for 2 days then the 3rd day was ok (sore) but I went out and did way too much on the 4th day and paid for it that night. Right now at 11 days PO I am still tender and bruised and swollen (swell more with excersize) but see a huge difference. I saw the difference the very 1st day. My hips are smooth and my saddlebags are gone. I haven't changed weight yet, not sure if I will but even if I never get smaller (which I will ) I feel it was worth it.
If anyone has any Q's please, I would love to help.

I had lipo on October 29th. My experience was just like yours. I am in my 8th week of post op. I am still a little sensitive and slightly bruised but I am feeling great and am able to work out. I too seen a huge difference two days after surgery (when I was able to finally unwrap myself) and was extremely satisfied. I was told last month that I was still very swollen and it would be another 2-3 more months before the swelling went down. I can't wait to see the final results!! Tell me about lipo on the thighs. Is there any dimpling to it? What kind of maintanence is there? Please advise, thanks. I had lipo on my abdomen and hips. You could e-mail me at flores_kimberly@dao.co.harris.tx.us

My shape is smoother. The pooch that hangs over my jeans is gone. My thighs are never going to be as smooth as someone in thier 20's (ahh, the good ol' days) but the shape is smoother. I don't have any additional lumps or bumps yet, still have so much healing to do. I just went through a big swelling after the holidays (food, cocktails and PMS). Now that I am feeling better I want results but I know this is a waiting game. Plus I still have to wear this garment until there are no bruises left.
