I ride horses and think it would be interesting to see what happends to the horse and rider while riding. As a rider there is a lot you miss while being on the horse. Also while watching there are some things that go by so fast. It would be really interesting to see the movements of the horses muscles along with the movements of the rider.

As a fellow rider I think this would make a great episode. We all see the beauty in Dressage, Jumping and Racing but many people don't realize just how much muscle control and power is required for each sport. Please guys really, really consider this one! It'll be a hit for sure ......

I think along with this, they should cover some western events, mainly Cutting and Reining since the horses are working so hard and especially in cutting you can see the impact on the rider as well as the cow....

I too am a horseback rider, as a highschool student i get alot of teasing that it really isnt a sport and that the horse does all the work, this might be partially true but it is a true team and trust that goes into horseback riding between the rider AND the horse. Horseback riding is such elegant and sutble sport, and people really dont understand the technicallity and skill that goes into it. Not just the horse but also the rider. This would also be a very captivating piece for the directors because I guarentee if you shoot ALL of the riding sports Such as JUMPING, DRESSAGE, COWBOY EVENTS, and horse back racing (please dont just do racing) you will see the extreme strength and skill in the rider and horse

This is exactly what i wanted to suggest. I have been show jumping horses for quite some time, and I have been wondering what a horses body looks like when they jump. I think you should do flat work ( trot and canter), show jumping ( up to 4') and maybe even a little cross country or dressage. They are truely amazing animals.

Omg, it would be so cool if they could get someone like Kim Severson to do the episode. Don't waste the episode on low level jumping, go ahead and do some 4**** eventing Smile ESPECIALLY CROSS COUNTRY!

I personally think that a purely equestrian episode of Time Warp would be very interesting. An advanced horse and rider team would provide clean, precise examples of flying lead changes, pirouettes, shoulder in, and (possibly) High School movements such as the capriole. It would also be nice to be able to observe how the horse navigates different obstacles, like a regular vertical jump as opposed to a wall or roll top. From the back of a horse it is impossible to see every aid and cue come together and produce an astounding product that can only be executed by a well-rounded and trusting horse-and-rider team.

i agree, i love horses! BARREL RACING is a sport that completely pushes both the rider & horse to the edge-my aunt did it for years, so i've seen what energy it can take from both.
this is one of the most strength enduring sports for horses-they use aimost every muscule in every turn, & would be great in slow-mo! Big Grin

As a rider this would be amazing to watch a horse take off for a (big/tall) jump and see what happens at the impact and what the riders reflex and how the horse responds at the release time. also it would be fun to see it in super slow motion at the walk trot and gallop. and at eventing/ show jumping........ OH! and dressage!!! Smile
