I've seen some amazing weapons on the program. Some look like they would make a big difference in the wars in Irag and especially Afghanistan. Mack, why aren't our troops using these awesome weapons to finish the job?

Because most of the weapons shown on the show are no where near as good as they are made out to be. Matter of fact, a large number of them are things that were turned down by the military before they came on the show.

I've always just assumed that, as the title implies, these weapons are for the near future and are not ready for deployment, yet. I also remember on one or two of the episodes that some of the weapons are now in use.
