I am 15 and I love animals so much my family thinks I’m little odd. I always have believed in evolution and feel that it is very important that we find out about it as much as possible because it shows how close we are to the animals we came from. Evolution could also help us see that we are hurting some one who is related to us. I absolutely hate it when I see people wearing skin coats and have bear rugs because virtually somewhere down the road those animals ancestors were are common ancestors of us humans. I feel as though today we need to make a difference and conserve our world in any and every way possible, so don't be the person who says tomorrow, start car pooling and recycling and donate money to help conserver the animals we are making extinct. You’re (humans) the only one who can change the world. “ Never doubt a small committed group can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has.” -Margaret Meed Thank you so much for reading my article and remember today is the day. Julia
Dear Julia, My name is Emily Woodall. I live in Asheville NC and am 15 years al well. I read your posts and I was wondering if you would like to be pen pals. I think we share allot of the same feelings about animals and evolution. I have met Jane Goodall twice. She is truly one of the coolest people I have ever met. Last year I went to the 2003 Chimpanzoo conference. I was the youngest person there. It was soooo cool. I got to hang out with all kinds of scientist that study great apes and I got to hang out with Jane!!! I think that they would let you come to the next one. You should go to the chimpanzoo website www.chimpanzoo.org and email Erica. If you would like to be pen pals e-mail me at savethegreatapes@yahoo.com
