I am in the same boat. I would really love to enter my mother for the show and I have no idea where to do so (I think should would be upset if I entered her in "what not to wear"). thanks
There is a link to apply for the show. I believe it's immediately under the "Makeover Story" link.
My advice if you're going to be on the show, be yourself a.k.a. tell them if you do or do not like something, don't worry about embarrassing the hosts if you hate something (don't be mean of course), don't be overly nice just because you're on t.v. (be polite, but not phony), know why you are there and be prepared to explain it, etc. When we were on the show it was the 1st season so we didn't know what to expect. I was super nice (I'm nice anyhow) and appeared annoying (I think). I couldn't tell the shop keeper that I hated or didn't like something, so all my responses were "yeah, I like it...really", the shop keepers apparently thought they were superior to us and made us feel like c--- (not TLC's fault, but be prepared), etc.
TLC does a great job of showing what makes good t.v. But a lot of things go on behind the scenes. To me this show is not reality t.v. They may have changed it in the last few season, but I bet the same stuff goes on. It's not a bad show, don't get me wrong. It was my first experience with t.v. and boy were my eyes opened.
