Though this question concerns Kyokushin Karate, anyone's imput would be appreciated. I was just wondering what makes Kyokushin Karate different from other forms of Karate, like Shotokan, Gojo-Ryu, Isshin-Ryu, etc? Is it mainly the focus on Kumite? Are there differences in techniques, forms, or approaches to fighting? Is it true that in order to get a black belt, a Kyokushin fighter has to go through a 100 man kumite, or has the number been reduced in the last couple of years? Also, is it true that Mas Oyama practiced his punches by killing bulls with one blow?
Thanks in advance, and any information would be appreciated.
