i live in northeast ohio and in my basement was a pure white spider. it was about 3 inches long. does anyone know what kind it is or seen anything like it?

I think it may have been a so-called cellar spider or Pholcid; look it up on the internet!
When they have just shed their skin they can sometimes be white-ish

i've seen this spider before (i live in Illinois) it's about half the size of a dime and sort of a yellowish white, right? with almost clear legs. i've seen them outside during the day and at night. and in the dark they almost seem to glow. i don't know the name tho.
