I recently bought a dream home. But now it's a nightmare! I like spiders. Really, I do. I've lived in drafty basements, and woken with spiders crawling on me. Really, no problem. But this house has a terrible infestation by all kinds of spiders. It wasn't even empty for more than a few days before we moved in. At first I noticed the common yellow house spiders here and there. and there. and there. and little black web weavers with grey striped legs. I can deal with those, mostly. But then I started to find these black hunters, with a leg span ranging from .5 inches to 2 inches in diameter (8 so far). I kind of tripped out. Today, though, took the cake. AT LEAST 3 INCH DIAMETER! Tan hunter with narrow body. In the basement. I have an attached garage, so I walk through the basement a lot. She asked me for I.D.! I was carrying a hammer, so I took a wack at her. The first hit stunned her, and she asked me to call an ambulance. (she claimed to be insured) After finishing her off, I'm kind afraid to go back through there. Usually when I see a spider, I ignore it, or move it to a place better suited for the both of us. But after awhile of doing this, I just start killing. I moved in April 11, and I've probably killed 50+,
and I don't know if I should call an exterminator, or a shrink. What should I do?
btw, what was that giant hunter called?
