yep that's my question. How do you clean a dead bug you've found before putting it in a shadow box. the reason i'm so worried to try cleaning it is the bug is it's an about 8-10 years dead Hien's enrald dragonfly that i took from my dad's work about 4 years ago. and since it was insde the loading doc it is conciderably dusty. i have it in a shadowbox but it isn't attatched because it isn't cleaned. i decided i should try cleaning it because i herd a news story about there only being about 500 adults left alive in the world.

I would love to know the same thing. I too have a collection of dried bugs and they are delicate!

I wonder if putting a clear polish over a dried speciman would work? Too many questions and not enough answers. Anyone?
