You've all seen Road Runner Cartoons, where the Road Runner comes up to the Coyote they look at each other, and before the Coyote can react the Road Runner is Gone!
All that remains is the dust outline of the Road Runner, which the coyote swipes at and blows away.
Fun Cartoon Fiction Right?
Wrong! We actually saw it! In one of our High speed shoots, the object in question was drenched with cool water, and when the object moved it did so, so fast that the water was left hanging around in the shape of the object for several seconds, just like the dust cloud off the Road Runner. When I saw this it actually Blew my mind. Several frames later the water like the Coyote realized the jig was up and began to move, which was awesome too!
