I just watched the show on the Navy Destroyer and really liked the show. It was a pleasant surprise, because I didn't have high expectations... a lot of these sort of shows (I'm looking at you, Weaponology) are self-absorbed hosts stretching for time. Build It Bigger covers a topic big enough to fill the show without resorting to cheap filler (seven angles of the same shot, needlessly rehashing earlier segments). The host was just fine, I think he's a good stand-in for the audience. His observations (damn, it's hot in a fire-proof suit; blacksmithing is hot, heavy work) seemed like the observations I would make in the situation. I like the way they address the full scope of the project, as well, everything from the blacksmith custom-making parts to loading artillery.

Good show; it's on my to-record list. Keep it up!
