Hey guys,

Here's my pickle. My mother got my ears pierced when I was a baby. Now she wants to do my 11 week old daughters. My husband hates pierced ears. He thinks that if she wants them done, she should be the one to decide to poke holes in her body. I was kind of happy my mother got mine done when I was so young and don't remember it. If I didn't already have it done, I wouldn't do it now because of my fear of needles. My mother is the kind of woman who would go and do it anyway even though we have told her our feelings about it. I don't really think it's that big of a deal-- if she doesn't like earings she doesn't have to wear them. She still will have the holes but I went through phases where sometimes I liked them and sometimes I didn't. But I also can't wear anything except sterling silver so it's hard to find the right pair at a decent price. It isn't like she's getting a tatoo. But knowing my husbands view about it I'm willing to let her make the decision. However how do I keep my mother from being spiteful and doing it anyway? We live with my parents and my mother babysits quite often. If she does do it, my husband says he will never forgive her. We are in enough of a money situation that we need to stay here. How do I continue a happy home life?? Roll Eyes Confused
