What did you all think of the bit about Mothers Groups? I saw this episode and thought it wasn't as helpful as it could have been. They didn't direct viewers to areas where most Mothers Groups can be found. They talked more about how to start a group... and even that wasn't very practical for the average mom! Who has time to pass out flyers and plan elaborate events with "taro card readers or the police" etc? When moms actually get the chance to get away, they actually want to TALK with one another and share experiences and seek support and advice... does anyone else agree?

I have been a member of a few playgroup/mothers groups and they are nothing like Yummy Mummy showed on this episode. I have started two groups as well. The groups have all been organized online on message boards, and although there is some chatting online, we get together for playdates and for time out without the kids as well. No one ever handed me a flyer and I didn't find listings in the paper or community pages. I found it all online through sites that list playgroups!

I list the group I moderate now on various websites and that brings in many members. I live in a military town and there are MANY playgroups and mothers groups and I am sure 98% of the moms involved in these groups found them from listings online.
