I watched the ep. were they told of how to fit yourself to the right bra. I don't think we have a "bra fitter" here in Maine. I'm wondering,how do you find some one to help you with such a thing? I know I may have never had the right bra. my mother never taught me,I don't think she knew.thats the problem with living in a state like this.we have nothing here.Thanks for any help you can give!!! I want to figure this out so I can help my daughters.

Ther is a company out to Monrivia, CA called wizard of Bra's if you call them they will give you every detail you could ever need. I used to live there and bought many a bra from them and had my sister inlaw call so she could be properly fitted for a nursing bra. Here is their #(626) 358-6216 . I think they have a website. Good luck and have fun bra shopping!

it's really very easy... but get someone else to do the measuring for you so that it's easier to be accurate.

with a bra on (fitting as well as possible), measure just under your breasts... where the band goes.

you add three to this number... round up one and down one and see which fits better for band size.

now, take the number from the tape measure you just used to find band size.

measure right around the center... the fullest part of the cup of your breast all the way around (aka.. think nipple area)

subtract the under-breast number from the bust number...

then, take that number

your cup size will work as follows with the lefover inch/inches

<1 -1" = A
2=B
3=C
4=D
5=DD/E
6=DDD/EE/F
7=FF/G
8=H
9=I
10=II/J

Hope this helps... my mother never taught me, but some of trying bras on and seeing what fits taught me common sense... but I have very large bras and can no longer wear bras that are commonly sold in stores, so I had to learn the measuring way to tell me the size I need... even so, every brand is different... so while in one brand I'm one size in the band, I'm another on another brand... usually a small difference, but enough to return it for the correct sizing for that brand.

I have gone to Dillard's department store many times to get fitted, and they will bring you different sizes/styles to try on.

You should be able to go to any mid-to-upper level department store, go to the "foundations dept" (which is intimates) and ask for help. The women in the department should be trained in proper measuring.
