Excuse me Mr Moderator. Wasn't Captain Watson filmed making the statement that he would like to see the factory ship sunk. Uh just how is that going to happen without killing the Japanese crew?

That's because AP has no editorial control over the show, so whatever the nutjobs want to put in they can (and obviously do). We, on the other hand, are at the mercy of the moderator.
thats the truth but, i think we should be able to comment on the stupid things that come out of pauls mouth and his crew like his first mate saying'they tried to assinate you'
i really dont think that captin would wish the death of any of the crew on any ship he is just very passionant about whales and every time a whale is killed a little peice of him dies. i have been watching this show from the very first episode and i feel that paul would nvr do harm to the extent of killing anyone even though they are killing what few whales we have lft

Unfortunately what you think and feel is of little relevance unless Watson is taking directions personally from you.
It is Watson who stated he wants the factory ship sunk. In his own words, on camera. The Japanese are not just going to compliantly open the valves and scuttle the ship just because Watson says so. It will take direct action in the form of ramming, disabling the steering or engine, or boarding and destroying vital equipment. All of which may cause the ship to roll over and take all or part of its crew with it.
I have been following the Discovery series Deadliest Catch over the past 3 seasons. Fishing boats which lose engines or steering in heavy seas are vulnerable to capsizing. Very few of the fishing boats on the Bearing Sea sink without taking some lives. Sometimes they take everyone down. Even some who make it into rafts or survival suits die from exposure.
I believe some of the readers of this list particularly those who served on CG or Navy ships operating in the Antarctic would not give very good odds to a crew that had to abandon ship in high seas and ice laden water.
Maybe it is time to start feeling and thinking about the family of the Japanese crew members.

Maybe because of the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972 which makes illegal the taking, possession, use, importation, buying, selling, etc. of ANY marine Mammals or marine mammal products in the United States and it's territories. Here is a link to the MMPA text if you're curious. See sub-part B Sec 216.11 through 216.13 for starters.
