Looks like Australia politicians have taken notice of all the many signatures, emails, faxes, snail mail, and posts in regard to the ICR attempt to force Australia into rejecting the Visa of Paul Watson and Peter Hammerstedt.

Australia is finally showing support for the SSCS and proving that they are indeed helping to protect the whales from the cruelty of murdering monsters at sea.

People like the ICR always have a hard time accepting the truth and resort to things like having rammingspeed post death threats, or have 12 loyalists flood the ap forum and try to swade supporters. But in the end the truth is shown that the Support for the SSCS, Paul Watson, Peter Hammerstedt, and the Steve Irwin out weigh those that try to stop and oppose them and in due time the citizens of Japan will know what the ICR has been doing in their own back yard and put an end to this cruel and barbaric act.

Japanese already know about ICR and SS. Though they don't have much access to the tv show unfortunately.
It's a pity, I'm sure there would be a lot of outrage if they did.

But we know how it goes... international pressure to show Cove, but chicken out of showing what they do.

Wow, you SSCS fanatics can really put a spin on anything. How does the issuance of a visa to Paul Watson equate to Australia supporting Paul Watson and the SSCS??? If Australia REALLY supported Paul Watson and the SSCS then why was there even a delay in the first place?

Or even better, why doesn't the Australian navy send a couple of ships to help Paul Watson fight the "bad" whalers who are "illegally" whaling in "Australian" waters??

<snip, snip>

I think you give your efforts on Watson's behalf far too much credit.
Visas are not issued by politicians. They are issued by the anonymous civil servants who work behind the scenes as elected parties come and go. This story broke five days ago; a very, very short time in the bureaucratic world. All things considered, this was handled in a timely manner.

When the story broke, Watson cried FOUL! and carried on as if he was being held to a higher standard than everyone else and claimed that the Australians were bowing to the will of the Japanese. Watson can conceive of no other possible reason why Australia should choose to follow their own laws and immigration policies. The fact that he (Watson) has been entering Australia under the wrong visa type for years totally eludes him. In his mind he can do no wrong for his cause is just; the fault must always lie elsewhere.

It was Watson, not the Australians, who made a big deal out of a simple procedural issue. Enjoy your victory; I see it for what it really was.

I don't see how the visa will wind up at the bottom of the ocean and not make the Japanese look WORSE.

The beginning of season 2 and the rope locker beg to differ.

A nation defending its flagged vessels at the expense of acid tossing ship raming eco nazis does not make them look bad, it is a government doing its job. YOU are the atackers. YOU deserve whatever end up happening to your sea hippes. If they end getting shot dead, they deserve it.
This is a more likely outcome:

I loof forward to seeing them hog tied and hauled off to a Tokyo court room.

>snip rediculous tirade<

I'm not sure how much credence to give that report. The only thing I could find on the issue was a report on Ecorazzi that referenced a report on The AGE web site.

The article on The AGE report talks about what was said at a Senate budget estimates hearing. The article also says that the Japanese whalers hunted in New Zealand waters last year and that PW was the skipper of the protest vessel Sea Shepherd.

http://news.theage.com.au/brea...s-20091020-h6p1.html

I'm not saying it is incorrect, just a little suspect.

I don't know how much support for the SS from Austalia is shown if news like this takes so long to be reported.

It's been almost a full day since you posted and still nothing new.

I didn't see any mention of "the Hammer." either. Big Grin

wow amazing how the ICR and pro whalers are so lazy to do their own research into this matter, well I guess if you can not look up the information yourself, then you are just forced to wait until season 3 airs and find out what happens... But I am surprised the ICR does not have current updates for everyone on the goings on.

What is most likely to happen:

- The Japanese will warn PW not to get any closer than 1/2 mile to thier ships.

- PW will arroagantly declare his right to toss hazardous material at the ships of people he hates.

- After the first attack (If the Japanese even allow that) The Japanese Coast Guard SST will board the SI.

- The SS will be hog tied.

- PW will appear in a Tokyo court room wearing a Japanese prison jump suit.
