I just watched the show where Dr. G performed autopsy on Marco Dominguez (dies at er complaining of severe belly pain). The ER was not able to diagnose anything. Turns out the man had sever adhesions that looped his small bowel and the bowel eventually died. Well 6 years ago I had a total tear in My abdominal aorta that was repaired. During the surgery ny bowel was cut and repaired. I have had two adhesion removal surgeries due to partail blockages and the surgeons did note that there was twisting, and my bowels are not atomically correct because of the scar tissue that has built up. The last surgery the surgeon did the midline incision and completely cut through my small bowl which was pressed against the wall of my abdomine. Lately they have put me on high doses of pain meds for belly pain. I have extreme weight loss and I usually will gain it back. I go from 140 to 114 (my lowest this year) The doctor's that I have seen tell me that I am inoperable at this point and I will have to live with this forever. My concern is the adhesions get worse and no matter what scans they do, they do not show up. I have actual pictures from one of the operations so I know they are there. After seeing the show I am a bit concerned that if the adhesions get worse what could potentially happen? I can find no doctor to help me besides give me meds to ease the pain. Right now my weight is okay but that could change any time. I know this is more of a medical problem than one for Dr. G, however after seeing that show I am a little concerned. I am only 30. hope some body can give a little direction or help with this issue and put me at ease.
