Thank you for taking the time to read and possibly assist me. I will try to make this brief, although it may be difficult.
My ex husband we believe was murdered, and have many many unanswered questions. Here are some facts,
Previous to death he would become ill when he'd eat his meals, except chicken. He suffered really severe headaches. Worked hard and loved his family. He was 44. He believed he had an ulcer which the coroner stated he did not have anything to make him ill. He was found dead after being missing for 24 hrs. He was positioned as if he were sitting on the toilet and fell forward, breaking his nose. He did at some point try and dial on his cell. At the viewing his hair, which was a vibrant red was dull and dry. But his skin color was strange, more like a gray/green in color. He was very bloated. The coroner stated cause of death as cerebral hemmorage. (his father died of this exact thing, around the same age)
Because of events the police said there was going to be a full toxicology done, and for six months we believed this to be the case. Suddenly, it is not being done. The autopsy report stated things that were not him, such as height, weight, his hand preference, and some other small things.
Anyway, when at the viewing I found out the current wife was having his cremated I asked for a clipping of his hair from the funeral director, which he gave me. My gut was talking and I was going to make damn sure I listened.
Anyway, I am trying to find out how to get this hair tested to maybe find out if in fact he was poisoned. (btw, he suspected foul play in action before his death, and did have a verbal threat from someone, who turned out to be the wife's boyfriend, who also attended the funeral)I need to let him rest, but I also need to find out if indeed there is anything in this hair that we can work on. Local police won't look further. I am in NC, he lived in Ontario Canada. I also need to find out if any kind of drug can be ingested that would help a hemorage along.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to any help you may give me.

Hi, I hope I can answer some of your questions - not having medical records it's hard to say what was going on with your exhusband's health prior to his death but his symptoms sound a lot like he was having gallbladder problems before - the fact that white meat didn't bother him but other stuff - I'm assuming red meat and dairy products did bother him and the feel like an ulcer. As for the headaches - they are often a precurser to a CVA (celebral vascular accident / stroke) and it's very common for someone to die on the toilet - especially men. They start feeling bad and do not realize that they are having a cardiac or other medical problem and they go sit on the toilet thinking that is their problem and they have a stroke or heart attack and just fall off - it happens a lot. Did the coroner make his diagnosis by an actual autopsy? If so, that would explain why they might not have done tox. If we have reason to suspect natural causes and find evidence of death by natural causes we don't always do tox unless we find meds missing or such - because tox tests are expensive.

I've located the info on a couple of NC tox labs and will paste them into this post as well as the link that I found them.

I hope this information is helpful!!

Sorry to butt in. I have a question reading this. So you are recommending persons who can do tox tests and this writer has hair samples. I have tox test concerns in my own case (Baby Julia). I was told hair sample tests are not really true science and are very unreliable. What is the scoop on that?
