i had to sign up just to reply to all the nay sayers and support fellow fans.

naysayer: read the book, i'm so glad to know the u were tight fit and built like god<desses> b4 u came on fit tv... umm why ru here then??, low carb is like totally opposite to low fat which is why there is butter, oils and fats, if u don't know what u r talking about i suggest u not call him down because he is following Atkins perfectly, portions r not an issue because as u lose ur body changes and u start eating less aaand it's a cooking show! duh, how many other shows cook tons of food while it's on, and yes he tells us how many portions the recipe makes and the net carbs per. the guy was the best low carb show and it should b on fit tv because low fat is NOT the only way to lose weight just as jogging is not the only exercise... i'm shocked at some of the dumb ignorant comments some people have made. oh, and ummm u think an end to a contract might make it impossible for him to post to the forum anymore...

to FITtv: for a channel that is suppose to b about fitness options u sure have a narrow view of what people choose to do. i could google 'low carb' and get thousands of results. just because the media tried discredit Dr. Atkins there are still millions of low carb followers and Mr Jelus was a champion to that group. i watch his reruns because he was real, i can relate to him, and he was right there with us. if anything u should have given him another half hour to explore exercise options so the rest of us feel more at ease to go to our local gym or pool. Mr. Jelus is the ONLY reason i watch ur channel. u were fools to let him go... oh i'm sorry u lost a few thousand from ur millions by having him on? please!

to my fellow fans: the man rocks, he was real, he gave us a weekly view into the struggle we all have. none of us started out as slim fit people and it was nice to see someone on tv that didn't make us feel like fat lazy slobs, no hard body host saying "oh c'mon, u can do it" while holding a fuzzy picture 'of when they were heavy' that could have been anyone. he followed Dr.Atkins ways and had plenty of vegetables in all the recipes, he offered options to a highly mistaken way of eating and opened our menu to new ideas. his excitement of new discoveries was obvious and his weight-ins were real and encouraging cuz as long as u lose something he'd say it was good. in such a polished, unrealistic view tv gives us Mr. Jelus was a man i enjoy<ed> watching. i hope he is doing well and i hope he gets back on tv because he was an asset to the fitness community.

good on ya Mr. Jelus! Smile
