Daikon is a member of the radish family...it seems to be a southern (US) thing to call it a turnip. My mom does it, too! She is from backwoods Alabama and her family are the only ones I know of who call it a turnip. I wonder if I am related to Blaine?
I looked for some today at Albertson's in California today and did not find it. That recipe for fries also used Maryland crab spice mix, and I could not find that either. Where do you get this stuff?
