hey...i wanna talk horses w/someone too! : ) (mostly i wish i had the money to buy some horses & land, but i'm buying a house now & can't afford it yet)
My folks always said that the cheap part about buying a horse is the horse itself. After that, you gotta pay for the the board, the vet fees, farrier, feed, bedding (and other stable supplies), blankets, tack, if any other medicinal costs come up. But also take into consideration how much time you have (in addition to working at your job to pay for all these fabulous things) that you can give to your horse for mucking out, training, grooming, riding, handling, etc.
It's a lot of money and time to own a horse and keep him/her and you happy.
Ya my parents say the same thing ,but im happy to say I have a horse and going to get another one soon because the one I have now is only 9 1/2 months old so I can't ride him.
i have horse named cigar he is a irish draft and he is 6 and can jump 4.3 and he is 19.3 hands and i have a shire and is 20 hands and is 8 her name is samantha but i call her sammy they live on a 10 acer land with a ranch house w/ a 4 horse stable and a indoor and outdoor ring
ok...superchick get ur stories strait either u can jump 4.3 or u can barley post the trot i mean common ur not makeing any sense if you cant post there is no way u cant jump those hieghts and im pretty sure a draft that is 19.3 hands cant make it over a cross rail if you want to lie at least do some reasurch...
Yeah Superchick, 20 hands.... that has got to be the biggest horse ever. Eqhunterjumper is right. If your going to lie do some research first. I dont have a horse but I ride the sweetest little pony ever. Her name is Maggie and she is 14 hands.
I am sry but if i do not lie no one pays atenchen 2 me because my REAL story is so boring i ride at alocal stabble i have been riding 4 2 years not including camps i ride a paint that is 16.1 hands named cigar i love him but i can not afford a horse of my own i seriously damge my arm i was really close to loseing it i am 13 and i do have a hard time posting and cigar loves to go fast over the jumps there isint that boring i am such a loser and have no friends!

Your story ain't so boring.Everyone has to start somewhere.I started at local stables and I am still not that interesting.I mean it takes lots of time to get good.And lots of horses love going fast when jumping.
