I was not able to see the Sporthorse cup so i asked soemone to tape it for me, but when i went to watch it all i saw was this show about whales. so im not sure what went wrong. But i am really confused because i look around animal planet site and some places it says that its on Feburary 24 and then others it says March 4th and one spot said March 8th everywhere i go i am seeing different dates.

Can someone please explain this to me?

I thought the horsesport cup was just a one time thing, is there multiple episodes??

can i watch the show from Feburary 24th online??

And what is the Washington Int'l Horse Show?

Thanks!

i also missed the show b/c i don't even have cable and the person who was supposed to tape it for me couldn't get their vcr to work. it was on TV Feb. 24th. i would also like to get it online or on DVD??

the wash. intern. h.s. is a HUGE international horse show that happens once/yr. i went a few years ago...it is famous for a "jump-off" where they build a "wall" higher & higher to see who can jump the highest. it's really exciting, but don't think its really that good for the horses. Frown

The show had a few air dates, same show. It was designed for people who couldn't catch the premiere. Kinda like how AP will air the same episode of Animal Heroes multiple times. The wall that gets higher is called the puissance. They don't school the horses to that level everyday, so it isn't as unhealthy as it sounds. They're very careful about fitness and training the horse up to that level to prevent injuries. Keep in mind that any horse at WIHS is worth big bucks. They're not about to risk hurting them and ending their careers by taking stupid risks. Mind you, there are risks in everything. Plenty of western pleasure horses get hurt too. I guess, to sum it up, these trainers/riders know what they are doing. They aren't going to do anything bad to the horses.
