Hey Romejumper I'm one of Callan's grooms for summers. She is a Grand Prix show jumper out of NJ. Her horses are Allison and Mianta and she does the speed on Warsaw. She is currently down doing the Ocala circuit. Can you post her website, I have yet to see it?
Callan Solem is one of the worst riders in the country. Her horses are all old and lame and Quiet Winter Farm is a truly depressing place. Cheer for someone who's earned your respect.
I am so sorry that you feel that I have not earned your respect. As for my horses being old, I consider it to be an achievement that my horses have had long and successful careers in showjumping. It certainly doesn't take anyone special to use them hard over a short period of time and then discard them. As for them being lame, I'm not sure if you're familiar with the mandatory FEI jog, in which the best veterinarians that the country have to offer confer to assess the soundness of each equine competitor before they step foot in the show ring. My horses have always passed the jogs. I suppose that you're entitled to your opinion of the farm, although the horses performances indicate that they are getting everything that they need. I am continually striving to improve in my riding and in my horsemanship, as I always will. I think that your time would be better spent doing the same.
I have just recently started training with Callan Solem. And I must disagree with others that have posted false messages in this "chat" room. Callan is absolutely amazing and 100% worthy of your respect and cheer. She has changed my horse from being wild and out of control, to clam and responsive. If only everyone in the country could take a lesson with her everyone in this business would be a better rider. She is effective, friendly, supportive and an all around good person and trainer. Hopefully people will not jump to rash decisions because of one person dislike.
