Well I tell you what..... give me a horse to ride and I will win it!!! In my younger days we use to jump all the time - bareback - never did a real course though only our own homenade setups - lol - but we were GOOD!!!

my first horse i ever jumped was bareback. lyk u, nvr did a real course either, just the homemade ones, but hey, we were good also
I have no idea since I don't know what horses are competing, but if Maggie Goldstein (is she still married?) has Hidden Creek's Perin, my money is on him! Phenomenal horse!
i would give anything to be in there shoes. I wanted to build my career around horses but my parents are not too fond of it. How can I get to where they are now? I am not afraid of shoveling manure- i just want to ride. I won numerous awards around North Dakota. But that is a long ways off from the Olympic Competitions ( where I want to be!)
Shoveling manure might just get your there. You can be a working student (fwork for a [show] barn in exchange for riding privilages). Many many of the medal class winners have been working students, and numerous medal winners are now Grand Prix riders and Olympic veterans. Never give up and never slow down. If you really really want it, there are many ways to get there. Use every lesson as a learning experience, no matter how it ends up. But make sure pride does not get in the way. Money is fleeting but hard work and talent remain when the dust settles.
Thank you for the encouragement - rockmysocks I really do appreciate it. I need to get closer to these show barns - because I am almost 100% sure there are none in North Dakota!
Roxmysocks, That phrase Money is fleeting but hard work and talent remain when the dust settles was wonderful, I'd never heard that before...and if you made it up, props to a stunning immage
