Elite's name is a horrible reminder of the late 90's/early 2000 where kids would use numbers and symbols in place of regular letters to show how elite they are ("l33t" is another way to spell elite).
This method of writing is referred to as "l33tsp34k". I was hoping it would have died off by now but time intends to keep it around it for a bit longer. I suspect "l33tsp34k" had evolved into another version of online language where people would deliberately use malformed words in place of the correct version of it.
Such as: more - moar source - sauce now - nao squirrel - skwerl gay - ghey
Strong evidence of the new form of "l33tsp34k" can be found in many pictures where a cat/kitty is captioned with funny/broken English text. These types of images are referred to as "lolcats". One of first images that became popular was the picture of a cat appearing as though it were requesting a type of meal known as a "Cheeseburger" - the cat's caption was "I can has a cheezburger?"
Hopefully this fad will blow over and humanity can recover from the ill effects it has had on the English language.
One such effect is of "l33tsp34k" is that many children can no longer differentiate between "lose" and "loose". Evidence of this evil can be found in the random comments of "Digg.com". A vile site whose explicit purpose is to destroy the English language.
*Warning: Please never confront children who have been afflicted with this terrible curse. If you do, they will call you "faget" or "ghey", or "looser" (three of their favorite words amongst their limited vocabulary).
**Note to mods: Please delete the rough draft version above this. For whatever reason, I can no longer edit that post.
I remember way back when I actively played online (mainly Quake 3 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein), I used to see those types of odd characters in many names.
But yeah, that's the way you are supposed to spell it (open to lots of variation too).
I don't want to use that much energy just to read a name... I have so few fully functioning brain cells left...and this threatens to burn them all up...
I'd like to reply to the poll. This poll is too general. It should really ask, "who is the best looking guy on Discovery Channel?" I can think of at least four guys; Bear Grylls, Les Stroud, Ben Bailey and Mike Rowe. You can add the guys from "It Takes a Thief" and "Deadilest Catch" if you want.
Then, make another poll narrowing down who would make the best guy for a long-term relationship. Spice it up!

Iknowwhachamean… I think it’s absofrigginlutely annoying when people intentionally make things hard to read. Usually I just don’t bother.
Mine was meant as a joke...a chuckle...a light hearted jab...
It was just...funny...
If you are looking for a difference in my mumblings and Leet speach...it is this...
mymumbllingshappentobespelledcorrectly! Perhaps it is my ability to speak and read Thai, where the use of spaces is not part of the written language...or perhaps I do it...just to annoy you.
