So, today me and a friend walk into a bar for lunch and i notice this couple sitting in a booth together. i couldnt see the girls face so im like, whatever, and move on. then later, as we're talking, i hear the girl start laughing and turn around because it sounded familiar. Yeah, it was my girlfriend... So i go over, yell at her and him, and he stands up. We argued for a few minutes, and he ended up swinging at me. I ducked and hit him and broke his nose. and that was the end of that...
So thats the drama of my week. anyone else have a story to tell?
Lol my dad tought me that. it just happens lol. A hit to the nose is normally pretty painful and that normally ends things. And in school i used to be the smaller kid so to win fights id just move a lot. next time u get in a fight try it lol.
I would like to add to this conversation. Words actually could have made a difference. You forgot to ask questions and give your perceptions on the situation. Here, you would have opened up a dialog and found out why they were together in the first place.
Screaming at someone doesn't work. It puts them on the defensive and resolves nothing.
I've been in a few scrapes, too.
MasterMisfit - I haven't heard that term in over ten years!
Ya smaller kids do tend to get in more scrapes than the bigger kids.
Freshman in high school I stood a bit under 5ft. By the time my Sophomore year was finished, I was up to an even 6 ft. and 160lbs.
So Interesting enough I had both the little kid and the big kid perspective. What I learned while being a little kid, was to not poke fun of something a person cannot change, it hurts them deeply.
A little more than a year later I was a big kid. Remembering my struggles, I tried to use "big kid" influence to make life easier for the small kid. Many times all it takes is one person to stand beside the ridiculed, to make others stop. Didn't always work, but I sure felt better for trying.
Master, i wasnt trying to seem like a or anything, i was just saying the "drama of the week" in my life. And just for the record the drama wasnt the fight, the drama was the girlfriend cheating on me lol.
Honestly MM, how would you have reacted if you saw your wife making out with another guy? Sure she wasnt my wife but still. it s#cks.
Hey guys, just as a question, how old are you all? you dont have to answer if you dont feel safe or whatever but i just wanted to know. Because it always seems im like the youngest guy on these forums...(this question applys to all)

Oh my bad i didnt realize i left that out, sorry about that.
i've never been in jail and if i do ever go, my dad will come beat the living out of me. He used to be a police officer and on SWAT and before that a Seal, and if i do anything remotely bad he'll kill me lol.
All the fights ive been in were passed off as self defense or drunken people being stupid or whatever else lol so the the police dont really care. plus i never really beat the cr@p out of people, just fight and leave when theyre on the ground or unconsious lol.
I turned 24 in January by the way...
And if you dont mind me asking, and by all means you are under no obligation to answer this, why were you in jail? and for how long?

Thats good that you were able to turn your life around so well.
When i was younger i actually considered doing some B&E's. Not to steal anything, i just liked the idea of being all sneaky or stealthy or whatever you want to call it. Me and my friend sometimes just jokingly thought about what we would steal. Something just annoying to lose like the remote to the TV or the doorknob or the little chain that hangs from a ceiling fan or a cue ball on a pool table lol. I never did though because my dad would have thrown me out a window (literally) lol. Just the sheer terror of his reaction when (and its a diffinate when) he found out stopped me. Plus the Christian side (I dont mean to sound like Bear here) made me not do it.
Originally posted by MasterMisfit: Sorry Melissa, but that seems a little extreme. They use the "A" word (gasp) on primetime local channels...even some cartoons. This isn't a forum designed for disney or nickleodeon. I know there are kids who frequent the site, but i seriously doubt that using an @ symbol in the middle of a certain word is going to shock them out of their innocence.
If you (general you) have to bypass the word filter for the word to appear, than it's a word that isn't approved to be used on the forum. My apologies, but Discovery has implemented the filter. I'm just doing what is asked of me, and giving a friendly reminder!
sureshot, did you happen to find out why your girlfriend and the other guy were together at the bar? Granted, it appeared bad to you, but could have been something totally innocent, and after raising two children, I've found out many times that looks can sometimes be rather deceiving.
Camper, the fact that her and the other guy were making out kind of did the trick for me. I'm not positive they werent doing something else but the hint was pretty clear lol.
Originally posted by MasterMisfit: Point taken. No apology necessary for doing your job. BTW, it was a friendly reminder compared to most i've seen others receive. Thanks.

Sorry sureshot, I went back and reread the one post that clearly said you saw her making out with the other guy. My bad. Like I said earlier, time to break out the Cocoa Puffs and ice cream, maybe spend some "quality time" at the shooting range.
The conversation is going great, but do please try and watch the use of curse words; that includes misspelling them.
Having recently read the entire visitor agreement I would like to point out that there is no mention of using curse words being in violation of said agreement with the exception of-“ Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent, invasive of another's privacy, tortuous, or contains explicit or graphic descriptions or accounts of, sexual acts;”- If you are going to have a new set of rules for these boards would you please post these rules for all to see?

I'll say once again...if you've bypassed the word filter by misspelling a word for it to appear without flagging the post (i.e. using a symbol in place of a letter, etc.), then it is my job to delete said word(s). This has nothing to do with changing any rules, as this has always been in place. If you have questions regarding the Visitors Agreement, please take them up with Mod_Ivy.
