Three years ago this month, we were driving home from a day at the NJ shore point, Atlantic City. My husband decided to take a less traveled road rather than the expressway(good thing). This was a road that was one lane each way with a double yellow line. Traffic slowed and as we approached the cause I coule see a tiny ball of orange fluff with traffic going aroung. I yelled stop the car and ran out to pick up a tiny kitten. The first thing I noticed was her left eye was out of the socket. As a former vet tech I was more concerned with the horrible respiratory infection she had. She was covered with thick mucus. We contacted our vet and after 24 hours to get antibiotics in her system, A.C.( the alantic City kitty)had surgery to remove the eye, came on vacation with us si I could continue her meds and litter train her ( she was 4-5 weeks old). She is the best friend with kitty kisses, snuggly, poeple friendly and plays chase with our husky(dog chases cat and then cat chases dog- what a sight) I am so glad we took the slow road home that day
