Hello, I'm looking for the home owners who got the poker room in the ventian plaster (I think it was brown).. Anyways I'm looking to do ventian plaster too but none of the methods I've seen have wax included as the last step and I don't like the dry look I want the sheen. Can anybody please help me out with the steps or products that were used.. Thanks, Tiffany

I use a few different brands, depending on the site where they're being used and whether interior or exterior. You might have the best luck with a brand called Baldini Vernici that is available from several good decorating centers and a few onine suppliers, too. I was able to find it at artsparx.com and paintandplasters.com. Their wax for the product is the best for repainting over should you ever decide to change the decor. You just use a good oil-based primer over it (usually 2 coats).

I have the "Poker Room" taped. It was a Doug Wilson room, in which the color was a sage/olive green Venetian Plaster by Behr. The guy HO who worked with Doug on this room posted here.I can only say that Doug is my favorite deigner, and an expert at Venetian Plaster,as well as a perfectionist.I also know of a room he did in Las Vegas (Older episode, in which he did a Mocha Brown Venetian Plaster). The wax is part of Doug's multi step process, and buffing with fine steel wool. You can follow the previous poster's advice as he/she seems to post replies to many of the questions.Just letting you know it was a Doug Wilson Room, and the product he often uses.

No, they never did an actual 'archives' of episodes. It was in the 'project files' at Doug's Moving Up site. It is now grouped under the "Property Forums" link. It used to/ has step by step pictures of him doing the process. I think they had it here also, but it was another guy who did the instructions.Hope that helps, and that your plaster turns out great. Oh, I copied the link for you. Venetian Plaster by Doug
