I just caught the commercial that said Paige Davis is coming back and I cringed. When they announced that they were not renewing her contract because she was demanding more money I wanted to throw a block party. I think her bipolar disorder ruined the atmosphere of the show. One day she would be peppy and everyones friend then the next day something flipped. I got back into TS once she left and was enjoying it until tonight when I saw that commercial. Just thought I would throw my two cents out there and vent in hopes a producer reads this and agrees she is not necessary on the show and might do something about it.

They won't because from what I see the large and I mean large majority of the viewers feel that Paige made the show. The Producer won't listen to one person who doesn't even know what being bipolar means from the sounds of it. I also know that they are bringing her back because many fans of hers stopped watching when she left including myself because it wasn't going to be the same. You can't tell me the former and new producers didn't know that viewership declined since Paige left. They aren't dumb. She kept the show interesting and the show will no doubt be back on the top of the heap when she returns. For my two cents? Paige is not bipolar as you put it she is human and not a robot. She like you I'm sure can have some bad days even on camera! I agree with you kimiluvsya this older mom adores Paige because of her bubbly and quirky personality. She is a breath of fresh air for the show. And for the record I accidentally caught a few minutes of the non-paige format when I was flipping through some channels one night and it was a huge bore!!! I am soo looking forward to Saturday night!

I too stopped watching the show when Paige left. I can't wait for Saturday night. I will miss Frank. I guess he is not on the show anymore. I agree with pmt4. Paige is not bipolar. She is an actor. There is a differance. quote: Originally posted by pmt4: They won't because from what I see the large and I mean large majority of the viewers feel that Paige made the show. My husband and watched TS last night and it was so GREAT to have Paige back! The show was not the same and we watched it, sometimes, but did not enjoy itl we usually sat on our couch and picked it apart. I'm not sure I like the idea about trading with exes and bosses, I liked it the way it was, but I will watch it. Something had to be done, cause the show I believe was on it's way out. We really enjoy watching the show Doug has, "Moving Up," now Andrew has a show that is pretty good and we like the flipping houses shows. But, it was GREAT to see Paige back and hopefully the show will dig its way out of the "red."

I can't believe that TLC thinks having Paige back onto Trading Spaces was a good thing. They should let her do a talk show so she can deal with people's problems. That's what she seems to be going after and last night's show was all about that. I wish they would go back to the way it had been without her. One of the best parts was seeing the 2 week update as to how the homeowners felt. Now that she's back they lost that part because they need the time for her to beef up her ego while "trying" to help others.

I haven't watched since Paige left, but I'm back baby! Paige IS trading spaces. Without Paige the show was so boring I couldn't make it through and episode. Without Paige the show is just Doug being an @ss.
I LOVE Paige!
TLC, Thank you for bring back Paige. VCR set! DVR on order, will be here next week.

I am THRILLED Paige is back. It was so boring before (after she left.) I too am not sure about the newer format, but am willing to try it out just to watch Paige in action. True, I don't really think she should be doing a "help the owners" show, but apparently TLC is trying formats in hopes to get ratings back. Not knowing if they slipped badly under the old format before Paige left, I wonder if change (going to the "helping" format) is always good? I know ONE change that is great....bringing Paige and her enthusiasm/energy back to the show. Yeah, Baby!

I really enjoyed having Paige back. It really improves the 'flow' of the show. The previous format was too slow and stilted. Just having Paige say, "Time's up," made the viewing worthwhile. As to the earlier comment regarding Paige wanting more money, that isn't really the story as anyone who regularly followed the show knows. And the bipolar comment was really tacky, both the labeling and the ignorance that were behind the remark. If you don't care for a show host, that's one thing. A nasty remark about a very difficult mental heath issue is quite another. I'm not quite sure yet how I feel about the new trading format, but I have to say I did get a kick out of Paige catching the ex-husband sneaking over to his house. I've always wondered if any of the homeowners tried this (especially when the homes were nearby each other). What a hoot.

Paige's personality was what brought it all together. She was "one of us", right there in the middle of the things. The middle "man", between the homeowners, the designers, and us the viewers. Being in the middle is never easy, and she did it with style, caring, and seemed to put things in a positive way... even when things were not so positive to begin with.
WTG Paige, and you are so "Welcomed Back" by our entire family, and many other viewers!

Paige is back and she does make the show! But this Paige seems more mature and not as loud, so maybe some of the paige haters may like her better. I don't know. I do know that my fav on TLC is What Not to Wear! This show has made no changes and in my humble opion( I cannot spell) that is why I still watch it. I do wish that the show would increase the room total to $2000.00 dollars as the cost of materials has gone up just like everything else.
