Hey...sooo excited today...We are supposed to find out today or tomorrow if we made the show...We had our on camera interviews last week....I have not slept in two days I am sooo excited....

I am in Rhode Island...We did not hear yesterday...so maybe today...I am too excited.....I want the phone to ring...:-)...hopefully they will call today...

Does this mean you didn't get on the show?

No..we found out last week...but to be honest they were very nice to us...They told us that everyone liked us..the problem is that they have too many kitchens and that is what both of our teams had picked and the scout did not know that....She said next time she comes to RI...to be honest...i can't put into words how much of a letdown it was...but what are you going to do...

Oh, that's so sad! I was so excited for you, and couldn't wait to hear all the details when you were on the show! Hopefully, when they come around again, you'll get picked. I've read of other HOs who gave up when they didn't get picked, only to get a phone call the following year.

The kitchen thing sounds weird. You get to pick the room you want done? If they've done too many kitchens, then why don't they just do your house and pick another room?

Hey...it is a little more complicated than that...For the upcoming season you get to pick your room...not the three room thing..we both picked kitchens...etc...They had originally picked us for a special...for a 30,000 kitchen special...but that went to another group...so when it came to a regular show..they had too many kitchen shows in the mix...who knows...maybe it is just an excuse...

I have been waiting for years to apply for the show...the realtor who sold us the house lives down the road...and he was doing it with us...so we thought we had a good relationship story...oh well..

Okay, that is way too heartbreaking. Did you tell the producer you and your friends would consider any rooms other than kitchens? Ask what's the room du jour? Be aggressive! Call her back and tell her you don't care if they do the entry hall, you just want to be a part of the show. You go!

She was the one who contacted us..to say that she really liked us..and was very disappointed it did not work...believe me I am trying...i am a jewelry designer...i sent her some of that...I let them know...if they need a replacement..we are available...if I email her anymore...she will probably file stalking charges...:-)...I am trying...
