Hey!
I was wondering if any of the TS homeowners have since tried to sell their home. If so, did you use the makeover to help market the home?

Well, we didn't, but the friends we traded with have. As a matter of fact, the room was a detriment to selling their house because it was clearly more "themed" (but hey, not bad...just a very modern feel) than the rest of the house. The realtor eventually had our friends change it back to the (bland, no personality, matching the rest of the home) way it was before TS. I saw it once after they changed it back and it was kind of sad and disheartening. My hubby and I had great times and memories from our TS experience there and it was like it was all-wiped out. But hey - our room still rocks!

It's a shame they had to change it back. Did it sell better once it was bland again?

Hi, This is Lynne Street from Clean Sweeps Trash Can Crazy from season 2. I know this is a TS board but I wanted to contribute to an interesting topic. We sold our house and did use the "makeovers" to help market the house. Although we received several "lookers" coming to see the house that was on TLC...it wasn't until I buried a St. Josephs' statue in the backyard that brought in the offers. 4 in one weekend. TLC gave us the "exposure", St. Joseph gave us the sale. I do miss our beautiful rooms. Took the clock collection with me. Happy Labor Day everyone! quote: Originally posted by style_me21: Hey!
