Who here drives a Hybrid?!!?! I am so curious! I wonder if Sara has a hybrid! Or who here would LIKE to get a hybrid car in the future? I try to use public transportation or walk as much as possible ( I am a student so I really dont have to drive much! ) but when I do have to drive, I am so proud to drive my Toyota Prius! I absolutely love the car overall. It actually gets about 55mpg- but I mostly only do city driving. My parents also have a Prius and an Insight- we are a hybrid family!

My husband commutes in a CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicle. It is cheaper and cleaner, but we will explore hybrid options for our next purchase. Like anything, the hybrid technology gets cheaper and better all the time.

I am looking at the Lexus RX800 or whatever it's called - the Lexus Hybrid mini SUV. If anyone has one I'd love to hear what you think about it. I love my hybrid!!! I have a 2004 Honda civic hybrid and it is great.

I graduate college in December hopefully with a real job I will be able by next summer to get a hybrid car. I am leaning towards the prius but I like the body style of the civic, who knows what I will end up with but all I know is that my next car will be a hybrid and I can hardly wait!!!

I have a prius with about 3300 miles now. I have only spent about $120 on gas at around $3/gal, so I am happy so far.
Don't be disappointed if you only get 45mpg...our dealership service manager says that's about as good as it gets, unless you dramatically change your driving style, never get on the interstate, and never get in a hurry to be anywhere.
This will be my son's car in a year or so...Teaching him how to drive...emphasis on mpg, not hp!

I am really holding out on Subaru making one! I own one now and love the vehicle. Plus Subaru is really big on preserving nature and the land around their factories they turn into conservatories to help maintain our environment. This is a plus for me to stick with the company!

My friend just had to replace her Civic hybrids batteries. $3,500.00!!!!?? I wonder what they do with the old batteries? I drive VW Jetta TDI (diesel) Very LOW carbon monoxide compared to gasoline. Yes, there is carbon...but I do need to get places. It's paid off as well. Sporty and fun, look into it!
