Did you see the Peterbuilt one? I keep missing that one.. I love Dirty Jobs.. Thats a great show.. I watch a lot of VH1, I'm like a big cliche.. Thirtysomething Mom trying to keep it "real".. LMAO!!!

The Peterbuilt one is good...but don't sweat it...it'll be on again. If you get a chance to, watch Future Car...part 1 had some really cool cars on--that is, if you're into that sort of thing. I rarely watch VH1...or MTV...

Just an observation ... if MTV stands for Music TV ... why don't they play any music? Just curious.

I do like that stuff..Grew up with every year Chevy in my driveway..Favorite all time scent would have to be bondo..So not so much into future stuff that new Lexus that parks itself irked the heck out of me.. Love muscle cars though..
I watch it for the reality tv... I guess I love to see how completely out of thier minds people can be. It's mindless television..

yeah..there is a real trend towards dysfuction becomming the accepted norm. I realize people love this stuff...it's a huge money maker...it's just not for me. Maybe it has something to do with my being exposed to so many different cultures, I dunno.

Did watch a show called "Real Life" once ... just wondered how in the world they can call that "real life". Again, just curious.

Could be...Any word about the other half's return?

the other half has hit some snags...he's planning to be back this week sometime..but the people I've been working with in Pakistan got up to 100% power over the weekend, and all their systems are working...so...if the problem has everything to do with the hydro grid (which I have suspected all along) there is nothing I can do about that...that's not my problem...so it's a wait and see situation. I never watched "Real Life" but sometimes I think the people that decide what shows will be called must have access to some quality pharmaceuticals
...Mythbusters, Stunt Junkies, Man vs. Wild, Extreme Engineering, Mega Builders, Future Weapons, Everest: Beyond the Limit, Deadliest Catch, Really Big Things, Dirty Jobs, etc...[\Quote]
Wow, I had no idea there were so many. We get a couple of these shows down here, (that I know of) but I'm not a big fan of reality tv. (i agree with wind - what's real about it?) I do like Mythbusters, and even though I've only seen it 3x, Dirty Jobs is great. (Don't know his name, but the guy who does these "dirty jobs" is great!) OCC ranks right up there, too. (future weapons?? sound very cool.)
I never watched "Real Life" but sometimes I think the people that decide what shows will be called must have access to some quality pharmaceuticals
Do you guys mean Real World? On MTV? If so Witega, I would have to agree with you there, it's almost wrong.. No, it is wrong because you know that there is a panel of "Mental Health" experts sitting there viewing these contestant tapes going "Yup, that ones will never handle the pressure she'll crack, Great TV"

Mike Rowe is also the annoucer on AC and AHR...and has done some acting...you should go to Dirty Jobs forum and have a gander...the "junior" posts on this forum pale in comparison to what females think of Mike Rowe...JM...Future Weapons is cool...an Ex Navy Seal is the host, and he shoots stuff and blows stuff up, while showcasing new weapons, some of which are still in R&D...my kinda guy

Not that there is anything wrong with Brazil, but we do have some nice climates in the US too! Wouldn't Florida suite you or is it the job????

Hi Sherri, Witega summed it up pretty good about the booze and long weekends I'm an engineer too (at least i was many, many moons ago.) I work for a very large multinational. I was transfered here 14 years ago on a big telecommunications project, and just fell in love with the place. I'll return someday to my homeland (Connecticut), but am not in a hurry.

I'm a bit late ...again! HAHAHAHAHA, yoga!!!! ...but about my experience: I was driving fast (it was also dark) and suddenly I "saw" a big moose at the road but place was wrong, I wasn't yet there. 10 minutes later I was at that place and there was a big moose on the road, just taking first steps to road. There was a dangerous curve so without this warning, I might be dead (and moose also).
Ideer ... from the Latin "goodius ideerus" meaning "duh, I never thought of that before!"
I learn something new on this board every day...I always believed 'ideer' to be indigenous upper new york statius for "duh! I never thought of that before." the same goes for 'draw-ring', 'unorthodock', and 'orthentic'.
