No, jm...I didn't WANT to pull the head off...but it came off when I was trying to get the bolt out...of course I use my teeth--how else would I do it?...silly man

No, I don't need it for work. I'm just cannibalizing it to see if there's any good electronics in it for robots (I like building robots...I'm such a nerd)

If that's the one where contestants build remote control robots and then smash them up with each other, that used to be on a few years ago here.

I used to watch Robot Wars. I have built 2 combat robots, but mailnly I like building them to do other stuff, like sanding, or painting, or boring little stuff I hate doing

Yep that the programme, don't know if they've made any new series over here yet, SU and elder child are hooked on it, we also have Junkyard Wars and the UK version, Scrapheap Challenge which i enjoy watching

Junk yard wars was great. I really love junkyards.

They were on Discovery when I watched them. The Science Channel has a lot of good stuff on it--if you're into that sort of thing

We don't get the Science Channel but we do get a prog. called Brainiac - Science Abuse where they blow up lots of stuff, especially caravans - that's my type of programme!

Yep...nevermind diamonds...junkyards are a girls' best friend (in my case, anyway ) Tabs...I love to see 'controlled' wanton destruction in any form blow it up, burn it, shoot it...I'm all over that

I had a car once which was 50% reclaimed from junk yards, it was about 6 different colours of red..ah those were the days

Totally off topic..but do you have to have MOT's over there coz some of the cars on Pimp my Ride look as if they've been filched from a junk yard

There are very stringent rules here in Canada...they can pull you over and take your plates, and impound your vehicle if there is the slightest little safety issue in question. They seem more laid back in the US...when I lived in Michigan, I was shocked at the condition some of the cars were still driving around in.

MOT = an inspection to determine whether a car is roadworthy. In the UK no MOT certificate= long walk home, you are unable to insure your car without an MOT cert.

MOT=Ministry of Transport (I think)--like the DMV. I like Unique Whips--anybody watch it? They don't fix up junkers...they customize fairly new cars.
