Im not tring to down you guys at all because the stuff you do is awsome but if u take a real close look at the movie wanted it isnt just the arm fling that bends the bullet but if you look close they also twist thier wrist n the bullets have deep spiraling grooves maybe that extra twist n grooves on the bullet plus the arm flig is what actually bends the bullet

what i saw on mythbusters was theyheld it in the wrong position and also the robot. i think if the move there wrist fast enough, they can possible curve the bullet at least half an inch. what i didnt get about the movie is how can the bullet curve then curve back the oppisite side....

Basic physical fact:
A bullet CANNOT CURVE..It is physically impossible... A bullet that spins won't curve, the spin is there to stabilize the bullet and its flight. without the spin it would tumble and loose speed faster.
Get that into your head, and learn some basic facts about ballistics, okey?

yeah its true what citizenGkar reipled, but a bullet can curve with enougth spin. But the flite of the bullet would be very short

It won't curve.. No way...
The SPIN is there to stabilize the bullet, not to make it curve, Sir...
Now shut it... The myth is busted, the whole premise is false, one cannot curve a bullet like in wanted.. Now PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE get it into your head, will ya?

Like in the movie WANTED, does taking a wax bath really increase the healing rate of an open wound???????????????????????????????????????????????

You need a new keyboard, your '?' key is sticking and your backspace key does not work.

Actually speaking kinematically in physics a bullet will bend with the force of gravity it cannot possible fly in a straight line with out changing its course it would keep going right out of this world. so Technically every bullet is being "bent". just not around anything but vertically.

I would like to see some of the other things in wanted done. Specifically, when the bullets hit each other in mid-air, and like Reesiespieces1 said, will encasing a wound in wax actually do anything.

when they tested this the machine they used only swung the gun there was no rotation of the gun like when they turn over their wrist in the movie

when you tested the myth you forgot to watch how they pulled the trigger. If you watch very closly you'll see that they slowly pull the trigger until the bullet discharges. Also you can notice that when he fires the bullet it has counter-clockwise groves in it from the barrel. this could really make the bullet curve.

No, the grooves would do absolutely nothing to cause the bullet to curve. Also, the trigger of a gun is very different from what you seem to be suggesting. When you pull the trigger, the instant the lever reaches a certain point, the whole ignition assembly is released and propelled by a spring. Pulling the trigger slowly would only affect how long it took you to pull the trigger, not how the gun fires.

also the rifling of the barrel doesn't not cause the bullet to curve it actually makes the bullet travel further and more accurately. What i want to see is a longer shooting range they did five screens how about fifty screens, at such high velocities you need a football field length to see real curving, I would think that if you would shoot one gun regular and the other from the contraption i am willing to bet that contraption has some effect on the bullets flight.

Also how about this for a thought if you shot a gun out of a car window doing 90 mph through those screens, it would appear to bend the bullet, the intial velocity in the -x direction would cause the bullet to move at 90 mph in that x direction and the 1984 mph in the +z direction. it only makes sense physically if you could swing the gun barrel at a speed of 80 mph it would appear to curve the bullet though not as much as appeared in the movie.
