what i like most was the incredible photography and cinematography. it was only through the dedication of those photographers, enduring the long periods away from home, the endless boring hours waiting for their subjects to appear and sometimes the awful weather conditions to contend with that we were given the gift of this series. i also liked sigourney weaver's narration. there were many sad statistics revealed, most especially the diminishing and shockingly small numbers left of so many species. although it is part of nature, i must admit that i hit the "next channel" button on my remote just as there was about to be a killing scene, but i went right back when i thought it was over. the one thing i could have done without? the cockroaches in the cave episode--eeks i hate bugs, especially roaches! if this series doesn't win a documentary emmy award, then nothing else should either.
