This used to be my favorite show, but it's more about the homeowners than decorating now. Last nights episode, single mom vs neighbors, was the worst. Where do you find these people?

I happen to know the "neighbors" and I just want to say that so much of that show was scripted. They aren't known as "Mr. & Mrs. Claus", the neighborhood is not "exclusive" in fact the lights have spread through out the entire neighborhood.
What I want to know is how they got a dining room when their whole interview they were saying they wanted a game room.

They got a game room. You needed to pay closer attention. They made a custom cover for the pool table so it could be converted to a dining table large enough for the entertaining they did. They made the mother an area to read and relax which she asked for and shelving units for her books and other things. They did a lot with the GAME room which is what was requested.
