I was all fine watching Lobster Wars, not as much as Deadliest Catch, but it was ok. That was until the end of one episode when they started talking bad about the Deadliest Catch guys. They were talking about how much tougher they were than the crab guys. Well that was it, I was so mad, it was a good thing that I didn't have any way to contact that guy right then and there. Those guys wouldn't last 10 minutes on one of the crab boats. The Deadliest Catch guys are also a lot more compassionate towards their fellow fishermen, not like the lobster guys. They are just out to screw each other. Cutting lines and dragging pots, well that just isn't cool.

I think the lobster guys are just giving the crab boys some good natured ribbing. I think they have a lot of respect for them. I also think that the theme of the show is different because it addresses their situation... a crowded, small area and lots of competition. I'm sure, as some others have indicated, that they are just as compassionate and caring as the crab fishermen. Give them some slack... Smile Just sayin'...

I guess they're not PC enough for the majority of the viewing audience! There's nothing wrong with a little "trash talk" between the fishermen.

Even the "weekend warriors" out there that fish in tournaments talk trash...get over it...it's not that big a deal.... Big Grin

well I happen to KNOW that the trash talker and yes he could do their job with minimal training but it was just some general ribbing
so calm down some
and as for the cutting lines they don't slice and dice all lines they (WB DIR RL ) come across WB and DIR are pro's the best of the best but they are only 2 of the 30 +boats out there fishing the DL and TM don't even fish within 50 miles of the WB and RL

I was there on the TM with Adam, Mikey and the rest of the crew. they are in their own world. they are 100% pure heart, a rarity in such a competitive environment. Yes, they have their own way of doing things and during the period of our filming they were not the highliners, but make no mistake... This is a professional boat with a long history of bringing home the bugs. HI to you Adam!
Say Hello to everyone for me. The only thing I don't miss about being with you guys is the smell of skate!
Rock on!
Doug
