I'm probably going to get some angry replies after this post, and I mean to disrespect to anyone.

However, I think the personal issues should be left off the message boards. The boards are for discussing the show and the industry in general, not the personal lives or suggested shortcomings of the fishermen.

Again, I mean no disrespect, but this is not the place.

I couldn't agree more with seascupper..As a newbie to the forums, I was surprised who many people are negative to the core. I was hoppig to hear positive feedback and comments on the show in general not tearing apart the personal life's of the fishermen.

I can only speak for my family, we are very proud of the job my husband does, and he is a very respectful and kind person.

Whoa! There are some people with some serious issues on these boards. Pick up a darned phone and talk it out, not on these boards where they can't defend themselves. Lots of potentially libelous statements.

When I first started on the DC message boards several months ago, I thought people were too sensitive when complaining about negative posts. I felt that it was a forum to express opinions, and right or wrong, they should all be able to post without being censored. However, after seeing some of the truly mean-spirited posts, I changed my mind. I hope threads like this one get shut down when they get personal or too mean. Captainswife, I hope you hang around on the boards despite the negativity, because I enjoy your insights.

Thanks captaikwife for your input. My son works on the WB as well and our family has the utmost respect for what he does. It's tough work. The negative comments are tough to take.

you are right mitz178, it is very tough work and im glad to see more positive comments on this site. hope your son and the rest of the crew are doin well this year. glad to hear they are filming a 2nd season.

I agree with what seascupper said, i personally have high respect for anyone that does this for a living! It's a hard honest living that most people don't understand, and i give everyone that does this for a living a lot or respect because it is such a hard job!!
