All,

My father in law is quite ill. He served in the Army from 1945 to 1970 as a signalman, tank gunner and tank commander. From 1959 to 1970 he was stationed some of the time at Fort Drum in upstate NY. While there I believe he was a tank gunner and commander.

I started by saying that he is quite ill. We're trying to boost his spirits by helping him connect with other Army veterans from that same era who may have done the same jobs, maybe even stationed at Fort Drum...wouldn't it be great if we could find some of his friends from that time period.

Anybody reading this, I'd really appreciate your help. If you know of online military chats or other services to try and track down his friends and people he coulc chat with about his military life it would make him very happy. His name is MSGT Dud Dobbertin. Any help would be appreciated, and feel free to email me directly... biuppa@frontiernet.net

My father-in-law is an amazing man and we're all trying to keep him very happy and around for a long time more. I posted this on 12/14/07.

Thank you all!!!
Bruce
