It has been over two 1/2 years since I filed my PTSD claim with the VA. I could not work during 1 1/2 years during this process due to my PTSD, and now I received word that my claim has been sent to the Board Of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C. this past week. This is one year after they denied my claim. We all have stories about the fire aboard the USS Enterprise. This film and Mike's book bring it all back to me now 38 years later.
I was one of two Flight Deck Photographers on 14 January 1969. PH3 Andy Morse had a B&H 16mm and I (PH3 Stan Osterbauer) had a 60mm still camera. I shot about 50 pictures, and when my film ran out, I got on a hose team. One of my pictures was of an A3 and F4 exploding simultaneously. It was used in a 2-page spread in the 1969 Enterprise cruise book. Anyone remember seeing it?
I'd like to contact Andy, if I could. Anyone know where he is now?
i would like to get a copy of this program for my boyfriend, who served on the uss enterprise just prior to this fire. i've looked on the internet and cannot find a place to order it. neither discovery nor history channel, nor imdb. any suggestions? thanks, c.myers

Has anyone seen the documentary? If so, please comment. I would like to see it re-televised next year on 14 Jan, 2007 on the Discovery Channel. It will then be 38 years since the fire. We who survived are part of something larger than ourselves, the ship, and the Navy. It's having a life long bond with all survivors, during which the best in all of us has demonstrated in our actions which saved the USS Enterprise and her crew on that memorial day.
