Just caught my first episode of yoga with weights with Sara Ivanhoe on All Star Workouts. I'd like to see more yoga routines, with or without weights, by her. After having tried several episodes of Namaste Yoga, I found Sara's instruction to be much clearer. I also appreciate the fact that she suggests alternative movements for beginners and has someone in the class perform those movements. I've been frustrated by Namaste's lack of clear instruction and by their lack of proposed modifications. Namaste's idea of instruction is "move your foot forward," which in the different episodes I've tried, has meant move your foot forward and drop to one knee, move it forward and stand up, etc. Also, the voiceover is too fast - by the time I figure out what is meant by move your foot forward, the yogis on the show are already half their way through the next move!
I would also like to see a better yoga show than Namaste. Namaste is just ok. I would like to see a 1 hour vinyasa yoga show. Today I am going to try All Star Workouts Yoga Zen. Hopefully it will be good.
I LOVE namaste yoga. It is great for someone with a back injury, such as myself, unfortunatley I live in the MTN time zone & am unable to locate it during a time I can enjoy it with the new format. We get plenty of Shimmy, tho, which is intolerable!
I love the Namaste Yoga but I wish it would get harder... I would love to see a Pilates show also. If anyone is on myspace please look me up. I have met alot of great people on there and we motivate each other and share ideas. Look me up, www.myspace.com/krissy_lf
