This idiot knows nothing about nutrition and how dare Fit TV try to pass low carb dieting off as the "right" way to eat in their commercials.

Carbohydrates are essential in fitness and that fat ass needs to actually work in cardio and lower his fat intake. He will hit a platue and will gain that weight back.

God I hate him.

First of all, I agree with about the whole low carb craze and how unhealthy it is. Anyone who has studied nutrition (I studied it one of my medical classes) know that is fact. But don't blame Blaine, he didn't start the craze, he only tried to help people get on the road to losing weight (even though he tried an unhealthy method). I think the mods removed the post, but someone who knows Blaine posted here a while ago and basically said that Blaine has gained most of the weight back. That's one reason the show was cancelled. So what you're seeing now are re-runs.

I can't tell you how sick I am of the Low Carb Kitchen reruns--put something useful in there!

low carb dieting is a big ripoff in the long run and watching reruns over and over again is truly boring. Please put Blaine out of his misery and put a workout episode in his place. PLEASE.

I watched Blaine's low carb program for the first time today. It was a rerun. I was impressed by the fact that someone who actually knew what it was like to have loose a lot of weight was on TV. I'm well aware that Atkin's version of LC is recognized as not healthy but counting LC out completely is ridiculous. The most recent Mayo pyramid is offering information about how to use LC to one's advantage. Adding whole grains and fruit while omitting sugars, starches and white flour products is a healthy alternative. Persons with DM 2 are also using LC information to help control their weight and keep their glucose numbers in control. The glycemic index is a part of this process. I hate to see the “baby poured out with the bath water”. A smart dieter gathers all the information possible and then puts together a plan that they can work with. The bottom line is to loose weight and gain health and well being at the same time. I am going to include Blaine’s show in my viewing schedule. He made flatbread with soy flour and French fries with turnips on the program today and I excited! It’s great to have alternatives to the favorites in one menu. Thank you, Blaine.

I agree! Get this show off the air. There used to be a show on at about the same time that was actually about balanced, healthy eating...........hey what a concept!

Ugh, low carb is healthy. Yes, you can live a life of low carbing. I have done it primarily for the past four years. There are people who actually live a low carb lifestyle and that is what this show is for. It isn't for naysayers who have only looked at the surface without researching the facts.

I don't eat like Blaine but I am a low carber.
My doctors have never discouraged my from this lifestyle because I am a healthy patient. I enjoy MY healthy lifestyle and my lab work shows that it is healthy. This is not a "ne carb diet". It is a low carb diet which I have documented information that says that low carb diets are good for, celiac disease, alzheimers, fibromyalgia, diabetes, PCOS and other forms of insulin resistance.

I am sorry for going off on a tangent but I really had to vent my frustrations with people who criticise something they do not understand.

Here is an interesting site on cultures who traditionally have lived a low carb lifestyle.
low carb diets

This should be presented on Blaines low carb kitchen or somewhere on FitTV. I hope this makes some of you think. Oh BTW, I ran the 5K last week.
